Intravenous Iron Infusions

An Iron infusion is a safe and effective way to treat iron deficiency and anaemia. Iron is an essential nutrient that carries oxygen in the blood and is also involved in creating energy within our muscles. In addition to restoring iron levels to optimal levels, an Iron infusion may improve your energy levels, boost your immune system, impact skin health, and reduce fatigue among other health benefits.

Patients with low iron may find they have symptoms such as fatigue, exhaustion, trouble sleeping, shortness of breath, chest tightness, anxiety, depression, heart palpitations, hair loss, paleness, dizziness, restless legs and brain fog. These can all be symptoms of a lack iron, also known as iron deficiency.

If you have symptoms such as these and think you may be iron deficient, you should visit your GP to request a blood test to check this. A blood test will determine if you a suitable candidate for intravenous iron. Your own GP can undertake this testing and prescribe the iron product, which can be administered here at our rooms or you can make an appointment to see one our doctors.
